What is MPI?
Established by a group of paint industry professionals in North America in 1996, the MPI is a non-profit organization which sets and is continuously developing stringent new standards for the paint industry. The MPI has long been very sensitive regarding paints' performances and environmental impact. As a result, the body introduced the MPI Green Performance Standard (GPS) which sets extremely tough requirements all paints must meet in each area. To obtain GPS approval, paints must be free from fully 29 noxious chemicals such as lead, mercury, cadmium and benzene. GPS also states that the VOC content of paints must be maintained within strict limits. In the case of flat coatings, the maximum permissible VOC content is just 50 grammes per litre.

Because Dulux Advanced Oil dries far faster than most solvent borne enamel finishes, it is possible to apply two recoats within one day*. The fact that the paint can be diluted and cleaned using clean water further enhances its speed and convenience of application.
